LinkNester respects your privacy and is designed as a private link-saving and organization service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your email address when you create an account, join a waitlist, request early access, contact support, or otherwise communicate with us.

When you use the LinkNester app, we may collect and store information necessary to provide the service, including account information, saved URLs, tags or keywords, titles, link-preview information, thumbnail selections, timestamps, and other information associated with your saved links.

We may also collect limited technical and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app interactions, error information, and other data reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve LinkNester.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information to provide and operate LinkNester, authenticate users, save and retrieve links, generate and display link previews, support search and organization features, communicate with users, provide customer support, troubleshoot problems, improve the service, maintain security, prevent misuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Email Communications

If you join the waitlist, request early access, or otherwise agree to receive updates, we may email you about LinkNester updates, launch announcements, service information, early access, or related information.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails or by contacting us directly. We may still send non-marketing communications that are reasonably necessary to operate your account or provide the service.

4. Saved Links and App Content

LinkNester allows you to save URLs, tags or keywords, titles, thumbnail selections, and related link information. To provide link previews, LinkNester may retrieve publicly available metadata such as page titles, descriptions, site names, favicons, and preview images from destination websites or trusted metadata providers.

This information is used to help you identify, organize, search, manage, open, and share your saved links within the app.

Saved links are associated with your LinkNester account and are not intended to be publicly displayed to other LinkNester users through the service.

Monitoring and Review of Saved Links

LinkNester does not undertake or promise to routinely monitor, review, inspect, or manually browse every link saved by users.

We may access, review, preserve, restrict, remove, or disclose information relating to particular links or accounts when reasonably necessary to operate or secure the service, investigate reported or suspected misuse, enforce our Terms of Service, protect the rights or safety of LinkNester or others, respond to valid legal process, or comply with applicable law.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers to operate our website and app, process forms, send emails, host or store data, manage authentication, provide technical infrastructure, generate link previews, process payments, or provide other services necessary to operate LinkNester.

LinkNester uses Google Firebase and related Google services for authentication, cloud data storage, backend functionality, and related technical services.

LinkNester may also send a saved URL to a trusted metadata or link-preview provider so publicly available information such as a page title, description, site name, or preview image can be retrieved and displayed within the app.

Third-party providers may process information on our behalf as reasonably necessary to provide their services and may also be subject to their own privacy policies, security practices, and legal obligations.

6. Analytics and Usage Data

We may collect limited usage and technical information, such as pages visited, device type, browser type, operating system, referral source, app interactions, performance information, and error information. We may use this information to understand how LinkNester is used, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, and improve the user experience.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide LinkNester, operate and secure the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the rights and safety of LinkNester and others.

When your account deletion request is completed, your account and associated saved-link data will be removed from active systems. We aim to process verified deletion requests within 7 days. It may take up to 30 days for information to be fully removed or anonymized from active systems, backups, logs, or service-provider systems, subject to technical, legal, security, and operational requirements.

We may retain limited information where required or permitted by law, including information reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the rights and safety of LinkNester and others.

10. Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information by contacting us. You may also permanently delete your LinkNester account using the in-app account deletion feature.

Account deletion is irreversible and may not automatically cancel an active subscription. If you have a paid subscription through an app store or another payment provider, you may need to cancel that subscription separately through the provider where it was purchased.

If you receive marketing emails from us, you may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link contained in the message.

11. Children’s Privacy

LinkNester is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no method of electronic transmission, online service, or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
